Where in Metro Manila do you operate?
For now, KuyaYos covers Metro Manila only. All 16 cities and 1 municipality of NCR. If you're just outside (Rizal, Cavite, or Bulacan), message us anyway. We'll let you know if we can dispatch, but coverage outside Metro Manila isn't guaranteed yet.
How do I know the tradesperson is legit and not a scammer?
Every tradesperson in our network goes through a multi-step vetting process before they can accept bookings. We require a valid NBI clearance and a government-issued ID to confirm identity and good moral standing, and we review each applicant's trade background before approving them.
After every completed job, customers can leave feedback that goes straight to our team. Anyone who stops meeting our standards is removed from the network.
How is the price decided, and will I get charged extra after work starts?
Each price is confirmed by your tradesperson on-site, within the published range for your service type on the pricing page. The on-site price is based on what they find, the complexity of the work, and current industry rates.
You pay a flat ₱500 visitation fee upfront when you book. It is credited toward your final bill, so you do not pay it twice.
The only time extra charges come up after work starts is when something hidden shows up. For example, water damage behind a wall, or wiring worse than the photos showed. If that happens, your tradesperson will pause, explain what they found, and only continue once you approve the new price.
What is the ₱500 visitation fee, and when do I pay it?
The visitation fee is a flat ₱500 charged upfront when you book. It secures your booking and pays for your tradesperson's arrival and on-site assessment. You pay it to KuyaYos via GCash or direct bank transfer. Payment instructions are sent with your booking confirmation.
The ₱500 is credited toward your final bill. For jobs above ₱500, you pay the remaining balance to KuyaYos before work begins. For jobs at or below ₱500, the visitation fee is the total charge.
You can cancel up to 2 hours before your appointment for a full refund. Within 2 hours, or after the tradesperson is dispatched, the fee is non-refundable. Full rules are on the Cancellation & Payment Policy page.
Who buys the materials, me or the tradesperson?
In most cases, your tradesperson will source the materials and quote them separately from labour, so you only pay for what's actually needed. If you'd prefer to buy specific materials yourself (for example, a particular brand of fixture), just let your tradesperson know in advance.
The fastest jobs are the ones where any requested materials are already on-site when the tradesperson arrives.
What payment methods do you accept?
You pay KuyaYos directly via GCash or direct bank transfer. Payment instructions are sent with your booking confirmation. The ₱500 visitation fee is paid upfront, and the remaining balance (for jobs above ₱500) is paid before work begins. We do not collect cash on-site.
Can I book for same-day or after-office-hour jobs?
Same-day and after-office-hour bookings are possible but depend on tradesperson availability, and they're limited to weekdays. Submit your booking as early in the day as possible and flag the urgency in the description. The earlier we know, the better the chance we can match you the same day.
What happens if there's a typhoon or heavy flooding on my booking day?
For PAGASA signal 2 or above, earthquakes, government-mandated lockdowns, or similar circumstances beyond either party's control, all cancellation fees are waived and any payments are refunded. We won't ask anyone to work when conditions are unsafe.
For lower-grade weather where work is still possible but you would rather not go ahead, the standard cancellation window applies: free up to 2 hours before, non-refundable within 2 hours. Full rules are on the Cancellation & Payment Policy page.
Do you offer senior citizen or PWD discounts?
Yes. KuyaYos offers senior citizen and PWD discounts. The discount is processed as a rebate after the job is complete. Email [email protected] with your booking reference number and a clear photo of your senior or PWD ID, and we'll process the rebate within a few business days.
Should I tip the tradesperson?
Tipping is welcome but never expected. Your tradesperson is paid fairly through KuyaYos, and a thank-you message or a positive review goes a long way. If you do want to tip, hand it directly to the tradesperson at the end of the job.
